A Message from the Director
The Surgical Technology program includes lectures, skill practice in a lab setting, and supervised clinical experience. Our students are amazed at the knowledge and skills they gain during this challenging and fun year. Since we only admit 12 students each year, many of our students develop long lasting professional friendships with fellow classmates.

  • Program Overview
Surgical Technologists are part of a dynamic team which provides patient care before, during and after surgery. The Surgical Technologist performs a surgical scrub, dons a gown and gloves and assists the other members of the surgical team. Their primary responsibilities are preparing the sterile instrumentation and supplies required for surgical procedures and passing these essentials to the surgeon during surgery. They also help position patients and prepare the incision site.
